Star Yachts are back at the Southampton Boat Show this year with their Bristol 6.0 launch, exhibited for the first time at the show last year. Based in the historic Underfall Yard in Bristol and run by boatbuilder Win Cnoops, Star Yachts builds a range of classically styled motor boats designed by leading yacht designer and regular WaterCraft contributor Andrew Wolstenholme.
The Bristol 6.0 is a fast 20’ (6.1m) open launch with a shallow draft to allow for use in estuaries. Like all Star Yachts boats, it is built to order in a modern wood/epoxy construction with a high quality paint finished exterior and Coppercoat antifouling. The strip-planked construction gives a strong, stiff hull that is light and low on maintenance. You can find Star Yachts on the Wooden Boatbuilders’ Trade Association stand HO40, between Gate 4 and the pedestrian bridge.
